Artist's Comments

This is a painting I did last summer - a scene from the fantastic (in every sense of the word) Earthsea books by Ursula Le Guin. I think my painting work in general is let down by a lack of impact - perhaps from weak compositional and graphic design aspects... hmm. Anyway, enjoy!

Beautiful datail and colors used... Love the dragons expression on his face, you can tell he means bussiness-telling you to get the HELL out of their or else. Pardon the french!!! The background is wonderfully done the detail on the town is amazingly done!! A masterpiece definitely!

Wow.. you'd think that the dragon would be the focus of this peice, but it is actually the detail in the city and boat, as well as the beautiful reflection, that really grab you. You are one of the most amazing artists I have ever seen on Deviantart.
