This is my first big landscape picture for a while - feeling a bit rusty! But working this one out has helped: the next one should be better. I want to try and get into the habit of composing my pictures with only one or two main subjects, rather than producing a random clutter of disparate details... like this <dammit!>
This image is based on a photo I took last Saturday of a mossy tree stump. But the painted version isn't nearly as lush and verdant as the original...
